Job Summary:
Provide clinical design and product support to ECPs to assist in creating an environment in which the customer builds confidence in using MSA products for their patients' needs.  This function will be provided through training services, product education, contact lens consultation, and technical support for CVI MSA products to doctors, fitters and staff members through the consultation phone line or email.

Experience:

  • 2 years' experience in contact lens fitting, consulting, or design - Preferred 

Education:

  • Licensed fitting optician and/or NCLE certified - preferred.
  • Seeking professional licensure and/or NCLE certification within 2 years of hire. 

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a remote, work from home setting. This role requires the utilization of technology and routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phones, and a printer. 
  • Functional internet and a quiet private room are required to discuss with practitioner on patient sensitive data. 
  • This is largely a sedentary role. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and TEAMS. 
  • Ability to learn Microsoft Dynamics or any future technology necessary to perform the job functions. 
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrates the ability to multitask in a busy phone environment.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills with a pleasant phone and personal demeanor.
  • Flexibility to travel within the America's, not to exceed 10%
     

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $66,117 and $88,156 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.

  • Reports to Supervisor of Clinical Consultation.
  • Operates with autonomy within specific structured expectations.  Ability to respond directly to clinical and non-clinical consulting questions (via phone 75% or email 25%) from eye care practitioners, laboratories, and their related staff.  Can consult on limited products in the MSA portfolio and may occasionally need to seek support from or escalate cases to Sr. Consultants or management. 
  • Evaluates clinical photos, scans, and other data to discuss with ECP on lens parameter changes for the optimal patient lens fit.
  • Advises ECPs on MSA product lens designs as lens parameters are changed.
  • Recommends the best MSA product and design to meet the practitioner and patient needs withing the MSA product line.
  • Directs ECP's to clinical training materials for eye care practitioners, laboratories, and their related staff (photos and videos of contact lens fits, manuals, forms, etc.).
  • Collaborates with other Clinical Consultants, Senior Clinical Consultant, Sales, and Customer Service.
  • The dual role is required to balance time between outbound and inbound calling for consultation, clinical services, and cross training within department.
  • Identify new prospective clients through phone communication, email, booth interaction and forwards to either Senior Education Consultant or Sales Team members as needed.
  • Attends lab seminars, conventions and other practitioner meetings as requested to exhibit and represent the company.  
  • Maintains all appropriate documentation for lens design, initial orders, and records for the ECP lens parameter adjustments.
  • Knowledgeable of RA/QA as it relates to customer complaints and potential inquiries.  FDA knowledge of requirements for reporting incidents. 
  • Presents case studies during team meeting for personal and team development. 
  • Must be able to perform position effectively in a home office environment.
