Job description

Recruit Secure is partnering with a large, financially stable, and growing healthcare organization to identify an experienced and accomplished Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to serve as a key member of its executive leadership team. This position can be located anywhere.
This executive will provide clinical leadership and oversight to more than 20 Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout a state in the Southeast. The CNO will lead the organization's nursing strategy and establish policies, programs, and best practices to support the company's mission to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care.
The successful candidate will be a transformational leader with a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing nursing teams, developing future leaders, and driving clinical excellence across multi-site operations. This individual will have demonstrated success in quality improvement initiatives, strategic planning, and the development and implementation of innovative clinical programs.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of Skilled Nursing operations, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes, as well as significant experience leading Nursing teams and Regional Clinical Directors in complex healthcare environments. We are seeking a senior executive with the vision, executive presence, and leadership capabilities to implement progressive nursing practices across diverse facilities and cultures while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The CNO will work closely with the Executive Management Team to ensure alignment between clinical initiatives and organizational, operational, and financial objectives.

Requirements/Skills
  • Current RN license
  • BSN required; MSN or other advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience
  • Minimum of 4-5 years in a senior multi-site leadership role supporting Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Experience supporting Regional Directors of Nursing
  • Demonstrated success leading Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and Standards of Care outcomes
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop nursing leaders and build high-performing teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and change-management skills, with the ability to lead across diverse cultures and personalities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to travel regularly to facilities within the state (one state).
