Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will undertake essential responsibilities that directly impact patient outcomes, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and current needs, thereby informing tailored treatment plans.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery using modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma and cultivating coping strategies for patients, ensuring a supportive and healing environment.
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to create integrated treatment plans that address all aspects of patient wellness.
  • Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses while offering resources and coping mechanisms to aid their journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment options.
