Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions with clients via video chat, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance mental wellness.
• Encouraging open dialogue during sessions to help clients process emotions and experiences effectively.
• Acting as a client advocate to assist them in defining and achieving their personal goals.
• Evaluating clients' mental health conditions and developing customized treatment plans based on your expertise and clinical knowledge.
• Documenting session notes and treatment progress using our user-friendly digital platforms, while minimizing documentation workload.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will comprise stable adults, primarily with low acuity needs. All individuals are carefully screened prior to engagement, ensuring that you work with clients who align with your expertise and comfort levels. This targeted approach allows you to focus on specific demographics, fostering effective therapeutic relationships without the pressure of managing high-risk cases.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current and unconditional licensure to practice independently as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Note: No provisional licenses or disciplinary actions permitted.
• Strong evaluation and decision-making skills related to treatment planning and implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
• Proficiency in computer technology and online communication tools.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in virtual counseling or teletherapy, as well as those who possess specialized training in solution-focused therapy, will be highly regarded. Proficiency with electronic health record systems will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

• A starting salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, depending on hours worked.
