Job description

CPMC is seeking a Systems Engineer as well as a printer device management services engineer as a critical component of GSA ITโ€™s ServiceOps-driven, holistic IT service delivery model. The contractor shall manage such devices throughout their entire lifecycle, from provisioning and configuration to maintenance and secure decommissioning. All device management services shall be performed in strict accordance with GSA security requirements, enterprise architecture standards, approved configuration baselines, and operational support requirements, ensuring seamless integration into the broader IT service ecosystem.

The team is comprised of the best-in-class technology partners to leverage forward-leaning technologies and best practices to transform GSAโ€™s IT capabilities and shift offerings to provide a more flexible service delivery model, completing the agencyโ€™s shift to a fully digital experience along with its adoption of advanced, emerging technologies such as intelligent automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:

  • Administer, operate, maintain, and support enterprise device management platforms, tools, systems, and related integrations used to manage networkconnected devices.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and update standard operating procedures, configuration guides, technical documentation, knowledge base articles, workflows, and related operational artifacts necessary to support secure, standardized, and effective device management.
  • Configure, provision, enroll, deploy, image, patch, upgrade, harden, and maintain device operating systems, firmware, drivers, certificates, client software, and security settings through approved enterprise management solutions and automated deployment mechanisms, as applicable.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce centralized configuration management processes to maintain secure, standardized, interoperable, and supportable device configurations across the enterprise, including encryption, remote administration, access controls, compliance policies, and the restriction or disabling of unnecessary services, protocols, ports, and features, as applicable.
  • Perform vulnerability management and security compliance activities for managed devices, including vulnerability remediation of findings, firmware and software updates, monitoring of security dashboards and logs, incident response coordination, and the timely quarantine, isolation, or removal of noncompliant devices from the GSA production network in accordance with GSA security standards and remediation timelines.
  • Support device identity, authentication, and trust services, as applicable, including certificate deployment and management, implementation of secure network authentication mechanisms, enforcement of multifactor authentication requirements, and coordination with security and network teams to maintain compliance with approved security controls.
  • Provide operational and technical support for managed devices and associated services, including troubleshooting, deskside support coordination, customer support, application support, driver support, print support, and support for devices operating in virtualized or remote access environments, as applicable.
  • Monitor device health, status, utilization, diagnostics, and service performance; provide reporting and visibility into device posture, compliance, operational issues, and trends using existing monitoring tools; and recommend improvements to strengthen security, standardization, efficiency, modernization, and service delivery.
  • Perform full lifecycle management for managed printers, including intake, testing, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate directly with GSA technical, operational, architecture, and IT security stakeholders on matters affecting device management services and ensure that all managed devices remain interoperable, supportable, compliant, and aligned with GSA enterprise standards and approved service delivery models.
  • CONTRACT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSThis following are REQUIRED for this position:
  • Public Trust Clearance by start date.
  • ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire.
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
  • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
  • Research, design, develop, or test computer or computerrelated equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
  • May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer related equipment and components.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others.
  • Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
  • Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.
  • CONTRACT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSThe following are DESIRED for this position:
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Slack, and ServiceNow.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    The following are the education and experience required for this position:

  • 4 9 years of experience and bachelor's degree
  • Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset.
