Job Description: Account Manager - SaaS Retail Software

Location: Fully Remote (with annual team events) or able to commute to our NJ office 

Reports To: Sales Manager

Salary Range: $50-70K

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and relationship-driven Account Manager to join our Customer Success team and support a portfolio of existing retail clients using our SaaS retail commerce solutions. If you're passionate about building long-term relationships, driving client growth, and acting as a trusted advisor, this is the role for you.

As an Account Manager, you will be the main point of contact for 100-150 SMB retail clients, helping them maximize the value of our software by providing education, strategic guidance, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

What You'll Do

Client Relationship Management

? Build strong, lasting relationships with assigned clients through regular check-ins and strategic support.

? Serve as the primary liaison between your clients and our internal teams, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.

? Understand your clients' unique business goals, challenges, and use cases to provide tailored guidance.

Client Growth & Education

? Educate clients on the full breadth of our SaaS retail offerings-POS systems, eCommerce platforms, mobile apps, marketing tools, and more.

? Uncover upsell opportunities that align with each client's business objectives, and guide them through product expansion.

? Deliver product demos, share best practices, and champion new features to improve client outcomes.

Client Advocacy & Retention

? Represent the voice of the client internally, collaborating cross-functionally to enhance the client experience.

? Monitor account health and proactively address risks to drive renewals and long-term retention.

? Meet or exceed upsell and retention goals tied to your book of business.

Team Collaboration

? Work closely with Sales, Support, Product, and Marketing to align client needs with company solutions.

? Share insights from the field to help improve our platform and client journey.

? Participate in team summits and company-wide initiatives that drive innovation and collaboration.

What You Bring

? 2+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, or a related role-preferably in SaaS, retail tech, or B2B services.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-you know how to build rapport and earn trust.

? Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of clients without sacrificing quality.

? Comfort with educating clients on technical platforms and presenting tailored solutions.

? Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and virtual collaboration tools.

? Self-starter mindset with a passion for helping businesses grow through technology.

? Able to thrive in a remote-first work environment.

Bonus Points
