About the Position

We are seeking a qualified and safety-focused CDL Class A Truck Driver to support logistics and field operations under a federal contract in the Washington, DC region.

This role supports mission-critical programs involving the transportation, distribution, and handling of government equipment, and materials. If you have experience operating 13-speed manual transmission tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, coupled with a background in warehouse and material handling operations, we'd love to hear from you.

Location: Beltsville, MD (On-site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles and with 13-speed manual transmission and others to transport materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured, protected, and documented in accordance with agency requirements
  • Load and unload using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual methods, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or regulated materials
  • Maintain accurate records, and delivery documentation
  • Support agency warehouse and field operations, including staging, inventory tracking, and material distribution
  • Follow all agency site protocols, federal safety standards, and OSHA guidelines
  • Coordinate with federal personnel, supervisors, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Assist with general labor and mission support tasks as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of vehicles and equipment

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Demonstrated experience operating 13-speed manual transmission trucks
  • Minimum 3-5 years of commercial driving experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to pass a federal background check
  • Experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse environments
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
