Labcorp is seeking a REMOTE Project Administrator (Corporate Coding Resources) to join our team!
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST
REMOTE : Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of CPT coding duties, including reviewing, researching and assigning CPT codes to Labcorp procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact for CPT coding related questions
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and present information needed to drive meaningful discussion.
  • Prepare comments for stakeholders and present solutions for implementation as needed.

CCR specific responsibilities
  • LOINC
  • Labcorp and ACLA workgroup Code Change Applications (CCA)
  • CLFS (CMS) - Subject matter expert for CCR, Labcorp, ACLA
  • Assign CPT coding for Pathology / Laboratory and other disciplines as needed as primary and back up coder
  • Train for CPC if not currently certified
  • Other as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years relevant experience or Associate degree with
  • 9+ years relevant experience or HS diploma or GED with 11+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of RCM experience
  • 5 years of Laboratory experience
  • CPC (AAPC) certification
  • 3 years experience in assigning CPT codes
  • 3 years of laboratory experience
  • 2 years experience with CPT coding, CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), AMA (American Medical Association)
  • 1 year of MS Office skills
  • 20% Travel (AMA, CMS, other as needed)

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
