• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans that guide therapeutic interventions.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and other approaches to address the unique issues presented by patients.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that create a sense of community and provide valuable resources on managing mental health.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals within your team to ensure coordinated and integrative patient care, enhancing treatment effectiveness.
• Provide crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely assistance in critical situations.
• Educate patients and their families about their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education opportunities to remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health therapy.

The patients you will serve vary widely in demographics and life experiences, including young adults navigating anxiety and depression, families seeking guidance through challenging transitions, and individuals managing long-term mental health conditions. Your culturally sensitive approach will be vital in fostering trust and rapport, allowing you to effectively address the diverse needs of our community members in Laredo and beyond.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas is required to practice in this role.
• Deep understanding of mental health disorders and proven experience in implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional skills in conducting mental health assessments and crafting impactful treatment plans.
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy within diverse populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that enhance therapeutic relationships and foster a supportive therapeutic atmosphere.
• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical practices in all interactions.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with technology to facilitate remote therapy sessions.

• Prior experience working in an outpatient or remote mental health setting.
• Familiarity with cultural competency in mental health practices, particularly in serving communities like those in Laredo, Texas.
• Background in providing therapy to specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or individuals recovering from substance abuse.
