Joy of Hope Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to provide high-quality mental health services to a diverse client base in North Las Vegas, Nevada. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through preliminary interviews, ensuring a thorough documentation of each client's case from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to understand their unique challenges and determine the most effective strategies for intervention.
• Develop personalized intervention plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, with a focus on measurable outcomes and overall well-being.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic modalities to support clients in achieving their goals.
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout their treatment journey to adapt care plans as necessary and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to create cohesive intervention strategies that address all facets of clients' health.
• Manage referrals and communicate with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients admitted to the hospital, ensuring coordinated care at all levels.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery, implementing preventative measures in partnership with clients and families to streamline the healing process.
• Assist and guide family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges to create a supportive environment for clients.

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our team specializes in providing culturally competent care, and you will be instrumental in fostering therapeutic relationships that empower clients to overcome obstacles in their lives.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada is mandatory.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by an empathetic demeanor and a strong capacity to engage with clients from various backgrounds.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a remote or community health setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, is advantageous.
• Experience with co-occurring mental and physical health conditions and addiction disorders.
• Knowledge of best practices in mental health counseling, as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• An understanding of prescribed pharmaceuticals and their effects on mental health is beneficial.

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
