• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients to evaluate their psychological and emotional needs, ensuring individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individualized and group therapy sessions, addressing common emotional challenges faced by seniors, such as depression, grief, and anxiety related to aging.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans that encompass medical, psychological, and social needs.
• Empower and educate family members and caregivers regarding strategies to enhance emotional well-being and support effective communication with elderly relatives.
• Design and implement cognitive stimulation and mental health interventions that foster mental agility and improve overall quality of life for aging clients.
• Provide grief and loss counseling for clients and their families coping with end-of-life issues, creating a safe space for expression and healing.

This role focuses on the geriatric population, identifying their specific needs stemming from life transitions, health challenges, and emotional loneliness common in later life. Your expertise will make a significant difference in their quality of life as you guide seniors through their mental health journeys.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid LMHC licensure.
• A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in mental health counseling, particularly with senior populations.
• Specialized training or certification in geriatric mental health and related aging issues.
• Experience in implementing evidence-based practices tailored to the mental health needs of the elderly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, specifically in connecting with older adults and their families.
• Demonstrated empathy and cultural sensitivity to support diverse populations effectively.

• Additional coursework or specialization in geriatric psychology or related fields.
• Experience utilizing remote therapy tools and digital platforms for counseling.
• In-depth knowledge of the social determinants impacting mental health in the elderly.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 65,000 to 95,000 per year, commensurate with experience. A sign-on bonus may also be available as part of our commitment to attracting talented professionals.
