• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ mental health requirements, concerns, and therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions addressing various issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.
• Provide couples and family therapy to navigate relational dynamics, communication barriers, and family-related challenges.
• Craft and implement tailored treatment plans focusing on individualized client goals, incorporating therapeutic interventions suited to client needs.
• Offer timely crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing immediate mental health issues, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health symptoms, coping strategies, and relevant community resources that promote recovery.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and outcome measures, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards.
• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and legal frameworks that govern counseling practices, protecting client confidentiality and informed consent at all times.

This role primarily focuses on supporting a diverse client demographic, catering to individuals from various backgrounds and communities within Atlanta, Georgia. You will work with clients facing a multitude of challenges, including but not limited to, mood disorders, relational conflicts, trauma, and stress-related issues. Your expertise will directly influence their emotional healing and personal development.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
• Candidacy must possess a valid state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Demonstrated clinical experience in providing counseling services to a varied client base.
