Work Environment

This full-time position allows for remote work, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. As a mental health counselor, you will engage in virtual therapy sessions and collaborate closely with colleagues via telecommunication tools. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that address their specific challenges.
  • Provide counseling services primarily for children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Engage clients through behavior management strategies, fostering effective coping mechanisms tailored to their unique situations.

  • Utilize various telehealth platforms to provide accessible mental health services, ensuring that clients receive timely and appropriate support.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team that includes prescribers, care managers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on vulnerable populations, including children, adolescents, and those recovering from traumatic experiences. Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) licensure in the state of Vermont.
