Job description

Overview

This position provides clinical and clerical support within the Imaging department. Responsibilities includemanaging patient flow, conducting patient screening, assisting patients during procedures, maintaining supplies,and supporting technologists as needed. This role also includes remote cardiac monitoring for patientsundergoing MRI when they are off nursing units.

Responsibilities

Patient Interaction & Prepo Transports Patiento Verify patient identity using two identifiers.o Complete and document pre-procedure screening (e.g., contrast consent).o Educate patients about the procedure.o Communicate readiness to remote technologist.

Physical Setupo Position the patient correctly on the scanner table.o Prepare positioning aidso Loads contrast injector

Contrast Administrationo Monitor for adverse reactions and initiate emergency response if needed.

Emergency Readinesso Initiate BLS protocols if requiredo Escalate to on-site technologists, physician or EMS per facility protocol

Communicationo Maintain continuous two-way communication with the remote technologist during the scan

Education

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

  • No experience required 

Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS Certification required
  • Recent experience in cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation preferred.
