Job description

Friday - Sunday 11:00 pm - 7am - (PRN role, work as needed)

This position provides clinical and clerical support within the Imaging department. Responsibilities include managing patient flow, conducting patient screening, assisting patients during procedures, maintaining supplies, and supporting technologists as needed. This role also includes remote cardiac monitoring for patients undergoing MRI when they are off nursing units


Patient Interaction & Prep

o Transports Patient

o Verify patient identity using two identifiers.

o Complete and document pre-procedure screening (e.g., contrast consent).

o Educate patients about the procedure.

o Communicate readiness to remote technologist.

Physical Setup

o Position the patient correctly on the scanner table.

o Prepare positioning aids

o Loads contrast injector

Contrast Administration

o Monitor for adverse reactions and initiate emergency response if needed.

Emergency Readiness

o Initiate BLS protocols if required

o Escalate to on-site technologists, physician or EMS per facility protocol Communication

o Maintain continuous two-way communication with the remote technologist during the scan

Complete Exam

Data Entry 


Required - H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 

Preferred - Recent experience in cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
