Position Overview

Hope Haven Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the mental health of individuals in our community while providing flexible scheduling to ensure a healthy work-life balance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and a compassionate approach to therapy.

About the Organization

At Hope Haven Counseling Center, we are a leading community health clinic located in Eugene, Oregon, dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health services. Our mission is to empower individuals by offering tailored therapy solutions that foster personal growth and healing. With a team of experienced and licensed professionals, we provide a nurturing environment where clients can explore their mental health challenges and work toward their goals.

Work Environment

This position is designed to accommodate the needs of modern counselors by allowing for remote counseling sessions. Our virtual setting uses secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth systems that ensure client confidentiality and comfort. Counselors will be able to communicate and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues through our integrated telecommunication tools. This flexibility not only expands accessibility for clients but also enhances the quality of care without compromising the supportive culture of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs, using standardized tools and clinical interviews.
  • Create, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and the unique requirements of each client.
  • Engage in effective therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or person-centered therapy, tailored to individual client situations.
  • Develop and establish clear therapeutic goals collaboratively with clients, ensuring active participation in their treatment journey.
  • Provide teletherapy services for those who prefer virtual consultations or face geographical barriers, thereby broadening access to care.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with ethical standards and organizational requirements to reflect client progress and treatment efficacy.
  • Participate in regular professional development activities, including workshops and peer consultations, to continuously enhance clinical skills and stay current with industry best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse client population facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. Our clients often seek help to navigate significant life transitions and personal struggles, and your role will be integral in providing the support and guidance they need to achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid state license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a therapeutic environment conducive to client trust and openness.
  • Empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients, helping to create a safe space for their healing.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities crucial for managing a full caseload effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a clinical setting working with varied mental health issues.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies.
  • Experience in group therapy facilitation is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, tailored to experience and caseload.
  • Sign-on bonus for eligible licensed therapists joining our dedicated team.
  • Flexible work schedule designed to support both personal and professional commitments.
  • Supportive working environment with regular professional consultations and supervision.
  • Comprehensive administrative support for scheduling, billing, and insurance processing, allowing you to focus on client care.
  • Continuing education reimbursement to assist in your ongoing professional development.
  • Autonomous work capabilities, giving you the freedom to tailor your approach to align with clientsโ€™ specific needs.
