Business Development Representative | OmniCable

What You'll Do:

 

We're looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic sales team. This role is focused on outbound sales engagement, targeting dormant accounts and new alternate channel distribution customers. As a key contributor to OmniCable's growth strategy, you'll identify and secure new revenue opportunities through persistent outreach and relationship-building efforts.

You'll thrive in this role if you're self-motivated, resilient, and passionate about driving business growth. Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize effectively are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Generation

  • Proactively engage assigned target accounts to increase brand awareness and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Promote OmniCable's redistribution model and identify opportunities for product and service adoption.
  • Initiate outbound engagement via phone, email, and social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales enablement and marketing to qualify inbound leads.
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach efforts and customer interactions in Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Promote OmniCable's full product and service portfolio to drive demand across all categories.

 

KPI Management

  • Own and manage monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
  • Outbound calls logged in SFDC.
  • Execution and management of email campaigns.
  • Activation of new accounts.
  • Quotes and orders generated from newly activated accounts.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and take proactive steps to meet or exceed goals.
  • Partner with marketing to optimize outreach strategies and campaign effectiveness.

Professional Development

  • Build and maintain deep product knowledge across all OmniCable categories.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs-onsite, online, and remote-to enhance skills and industry expertise.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support distributor partners and internal teams.

 

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Operate independently while contributing to team success and supporting colleagues.
  • Communicate professionally across departments including operations, credit, and regional sales to ensure seamless execution.
  • Foster a collaborative environment aligned with OmniCable's core values.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and performance targets.
  • Strong phone presence and comfort making 50+ outbound calls per day.
  • Resilient mindset with the ability to handle rejection positively.
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
