Performance Creative Manager (Social & Video)

Tax Defense Network, A MoneySolver Company

Jacksonville, FL • Remote

Full-time

Job description

Description

Overview

We are hiring a Performance Creative Manager to build and run our in-house creative testing engine across social and video. You will own the pipeline that turns ideas into testable creative: writing the hooks, scripts, and briefs; directing production through internal editing support, creator marketplaces, and AI tools; and using performance data to decide what gets scaled, revised, or retired.

This is a creative direction and production role, not a hands-on editing role. You will have dedicated internal editing support and budget for creators and AI production tools. Your job is to keep that pipeline full, fast, and pointed at measurable results: leads, cost per lead, conversion rate, and revenue impact.

You will work across multiple consumer brands in the tax and financial services space, partnering directly with marketing leadership and our paid media team.

This is a fully remote role; however, you must reside in Florida and be willing to travel periodically to the Greater Jacksonville area.

What Makes This Role Different

This is a performance role first and a social role second. A brand marketer measures success by awareness, engagement, and aesthetics. A performance marketer asks: which hook drove the lowest cost per lead, which message generated qualified inquiries, and which asset looked great but failed to convert. We need the second mindset. Creative here is judged by measurable response, and the right candidate finds that energizing rather than limiting.

What You'll Do

Paid Social Creative Testing (top priority)

  • Own a consistent creative testing pipeline for paid campaigns on Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels, producing multiple variations per concept across hooks, messages, formats, visuals, and CTAs.
  • Partner with marketing leadership and media buyers on campaign goals, audience segments, and offer angles.
  • Review creative performance data to identify winning hooks, formats, and messages, and use those learnings to direct the next round of assets.
  • Creative Direction & Production Coordination
  • Write hooks, scripts, captions, overlay copy, CTAs, pacing notes, and shot direction for short-form video and static assets.
  • Package clear, complete briefs and direct execution through internal editing resources, creators, freelancers, and AI production tools - routing each job to the right resource for speed and quality.
  • Quality-control finished assets against the brief, the brand, compliance requirements, and performance intent.
  • Handle light production work directly (Canva, CapCut-level edits, cropping, captioning, resizing) so quick tasks don't wait in a queue.
  • UGC, Creator & AI-Generated Content
  • Source, brief, and manage UGC-style content through creator marketplaces (Fiverr, Billo, or similar), freelancers, and AI avatar platforms.
  • Turn raw creator footage, AI outputs, FAQs, and campaign ideas into usable organic and paid assets.
  • Manage deliverables, revisions, usage rights, approvals, and file organization, and evaluate creator and AI assets through a performance lens.
  • Organic Social Execution
  • Own day-to-day organic content across priority brand channels: calendar, writing, scheduling, and publishing.
  • Repurpose existing marketing assets - ads, videos, articles, FAQs, landing pages - into social-first content.
  • Monitor comments and messages, routing customer service, compliance, or sensitive items to the right internal team.
  • Workflow & Organization
  • Own the content calendar, creative request process, asset libraries, templates, usage rights, and production timelines.
  • Build repeatable workflows that make creative production faster and easier to manage, using AI tools to accelerate ideation, scripting, versioning, and repurposing.

Requirements

The Environment

We market in a regulated, policy-sensitive category. Ad disapprovals, claim limitations, compliance edits, and platform restrictions are a normal part of the job, not a crisis. The right candidate treats policy constraints as creative problems to solve - reframing a claim without weakening the offer, educating instead of overstating, testing a different angle that stays within policy - and knows when to escalate for compliance review. Prior experience in a regulated category (financial services, tax, debt, legal, insurance, healthcare, lending) is strongly preferred but not required.

Marketing channels also change. This role is centered on social and short-form video today, and over time may expand into creative for YouTube, CTV/streaming, landing pages, email/SMS, and other growth channels as the business scales. We're looking for someone who sees that as room to grow.

Qualifications

  • 3-6+ years in performance marketing, paid social creative, content production, or digital marketing, with work tied to measurable outcomes (leads, conversions, sales, revenue).
  • Strong direct-response instincts: you can write hooks, ad copy, CTAs, short scripts, and creator briefs that are built to convert, not just to engage.
  • Experience directing or producing short-form video - developing concepts, briefing editors or creators, and shaping cuts - with enough hands-on tool fluency (Canva, CapCut, or similar) to handle quick edits yourself.
  • Experience developing creative for paid campaigns on Meta, TikTok, YouTube, or similar, including producing multiple variations for testing.
  • Ability to read performance data (CPL, CPA, CTR, conversion rate) and translate it into creative decisions.
  • Experience sourcing, briefing, or coordinating UGC/creator content is preferred; AI-avatar content testing is a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated or platform-policy-sensitive category is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills across multiple brands, campaigns, calendars, and production resources.
  • Comfortable using AI tools as a production accelerator for ideation, scripting, and versioning.

What You'll Have

  • Dedicated internal video editing support, plus budget for creator marketplaces and AI production tools.
  • Real paid media spend to test against, across multiple established brands.
  • Independent performance data infrastructure - creative decisions here are made on real downstream results, not platform-reported vanity metrics.
  • A direct line to marketing leadership and fast decision-making.

What We're Not Looking For

  • A brand-only social marketer who measures success primarily by likes, followers, and engagement.
  • Someone who can manage calendars and vendors but can't develop concepts, write hooks, or direct content themselves.
  • Someone uncomfortable being measured by performance or easily discouraged by ad disapprovals and compliance edits.
  • Someone rigidly attached to one narrow function as channels and priorities evolve.

You do not need to appear on camera or be the face of our brands.
