This role acts as liaison between A/E design firms and field contractors to communicate design solutions that meet business needs. Transforms initial conceptual designs using CAD into working layout documents. Prepares technical layouts, equipment lists, and specifications to be used as source documents for A&E construction drawings or contractor project implementation
What you'll be doing:
  • Own the production of layout drawings, equipment lists, prototype layouts, and design outputs ensuring accuracy and adherence to Meijer CAD/BIM standards.
  • Identify, document, and communicate design conflicts to Layout Designers, contributing to solution development and refinement.
  • Maintain and apply CAD/BIM standards, templates, and file organization ensuring consistency across projects.
  • Prepare layout drawings and equipment lists with to support design development.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, fixture librarian, and A/E partners to ensure accurate integration of fixture, equipment, and design requirements.
  • Conduct technical reviews of drawings produced by internal or external partners, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Meijer CAD/BIM standards
  • Adhere to a schedule driven workload and meet deadlines

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent design and drafting experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in CAD/BIM including Revit
  • Proficient CAD/BIM drafting/modeling skills
  • Working knowledge of CAD drawing file structures, standards, cell/family placement, and project modeling.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work in a schedule driven environment
  • Understanding of applicable building codes

$55,750.00 - $88,250.00
This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Your specific pay rate within this range will be based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team you'll be joining.
