  • Engage in regular communication with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals involved in the client's care.
  • Ensure timely documentation of all case-related activities including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Attend monthly team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and contribute clinical recommendations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your expertise will be essential in providing tailored support to these vulnerable populations, enhancing their emotional and behavioral health, and empowering families to navigate the challenges they face.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in California.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Weekend availability is also desirable.
  • Possession of a valid driverโ€™s license and access to a registered vehicle is required for community-based therapy.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies in therapeutic settings.
  • Familiarity with working with children facing intellectual and developmental disabilities is a notable advantage.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly preferred, aligning with our need for bilingual therapists to better serve our community.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, in alignment with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:

  • Group health coverage to support your well-being.
  • Annual paid time off to promote work-life balance.
  • Short and long-term disability insurance for peace of mind.
  • 401K plan to help you prepare for your financial future.
  • Ongoing job training to enhance your professional development.
