Are you interested in playing a key role in defining the future of Aerospace and Defense?  If so, we are hiring an ERP Business Analyst – Record to Report (R2R) to help support our Corporate instance of S/4HANA. This role will primarily help with our Payroll and Timekeeping integrations along with our Tax integration.

The OneRTX Process & Systems Transformation Program will harmonize key business processes, associated tools, metrics, and reporting across the company, enabling the migration of capabilities into standardized ERP systems. RTX has chosen SAP’s S/4HANA to enable our future ERP system and has largely concluded the strategic definition and design phase and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases.  

This role is responsible for supporting the successful delivery within each phase of the program for the Corp Enterprise Hub and the ongoing support there after: 

  • Build – collaborate with an integrated team of external resources and internal RTX team members in the configuration and development of the Corporate Enterprise Hub system capabilities. 

  • Testing – support the creation and execution of test scenarios and scripts supporting the Corporate processes; work alongside business leaders and testers to ensure proper functionality and defect resolution. 

  • Cutover & Hypercare – support successful migration from legacy systems to the Corp Enterprise Hub environment. Support go-live and the continuation of RTX business’ financial and operational performance. 

  • Ongoing Support for the Corporate S/4HANA instance – as the implementation of the project shifts to sustainment this role will be part of the Corporate SAP team supporting the S/4HANA Enterprise Hub instance.  

You are the ideal candidate if you have experience working within an organization that is responsible for driving large scale, complex programs and projects related to business process and system transformation, ideally ERP implementation using SAP’s S/4HANA solution. 

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with business and digital team members and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide guidance on utilizing the ERP system effectively.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that leveraging S/4HANA, enhancing our workstream processes in alignment desired RTX operating model and industry best practices. 

  • Support creation of new and innovative solutions to support digital and business strategies and common design aspirations. 

  • Support the evaluation of options for bolt-on applications and make recommendations based on functional requirements, desired RTX operating model, and industry best practices. 

  • Assist data team and process teams in data mapping activities and testing. 

  • Document common solutions, including configuration documents, process flows and data policies. 

  • Deliver functional specifications for any forms, reports, enhancements, conversion programs, integrations and workflows deemed in scope of the workstream as part of program.  

  • Sustainment support – Provide end-users assistance for issues related to SAP functionality, including troubleshooting and resolving errors.

  • System monitoring – Responsible for the integrations inbound and outbound and supporting any failures that may arise.

  • Travel requirement for this role will be 25 - 50% during the project roll out. Expected to reduce significantly there after.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with finance processes including such as Finance Master Data, Allocations, FP&A, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Intercompany, G/L, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Period Close & Consolidation, Project Accounting

  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP systems including system configuration, data management, and reporting capabilities, especially in the areas of FI-GL, FI-BL, FI-AA, Reporting and Profit center accounting,

  • Experience supporting SAP integrations, eg Tax engine and Workday/ADP

  • Ability to plan, manage & deliver across numerous bodies of work with a fast-paced, dynamic environment, helping to translate business needs into system requirements and process improvements

  • Experience working on large, complex A&D enterprise projects -- or similarly regulated, large organization 

  • Experience with agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects​ 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify system issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose effective solutions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

  • Familitary with financial regulations, controls, and security measures. Experience implementing and maintaining compliance standards within an ERP system.

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
