About the Opportunity
Adecco is partnering with a growing wholesale distributor of specialty building materials seeking a Business Development Manager to support and expand sales throughout an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in the building products industry who enjoys relationship management, business development, and driving revenue growth.
The Business Development Manager will work closely with existing dealer partners while identifying new business opportunities, promoting product offerings, and building relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and other industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with established accounts within an assigned territory.

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customers that align with business objectives.

  • Introduce new product lines and implement strategies to drive adoption and sales growth.

  • Develop relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and other influencers to increase product demand and market presence.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner.

  • Prepare customer quotations, estimates, and product recommendations.

  • Collaborate with management and internal sales teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturing partners and suppliers to stay informed on new products and industry trends.

  • Participate in ongoing product and industry training to maintain a high level of technical knowledge.

  • Partner with customers to develop marketing initiatives that drive sales and business growth.

  • Conduct product training and educational sessions for customer sales teams.

  • Maintain accurate records, expense reports, and territory activity documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building materials, construction, or related industry.

  • Proven success in sales, business development, or account management.

  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.

  • Ability to prospect, cold call, and develop new business opportunities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to learn and utilize company CRM, quoting, and order management systems.

  • Strong organization, communication, and time management skills.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a background screening.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
