Job description

Mandate:
Reporting to the Director, Technology Solutions, IT, the D365 Business Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing Delmar's Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and related business applications.

The position serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Technology Services, vendors, and implementation partners to understand business requirements, analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate operational needs into effective system solutions.

The D365 Business Analyst will support the ongoing administration, configuration, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft Power Platform technologies. This individual will work closely with users across Delmar's global offices to ensure system functionality is aligned with business requirements, standardized processes, and organizational objectives.

The position will also assist with D365 implementations, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives across Delmar's global operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main contact between IT and business teams for D365 needs, issues, and improvements
  • Gather and document business requirements and turn them into clear system solutions
  • Review business processes and identify ways to improve efficiency, automation, data quality, and user experience
  • Support the setup, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
  • Configure system features such as forms, fields, workflows, dashboards, security, and permissions
  • Review enhancement requests, assess their impact, and recommend solutions
  • Work with IT teams, vendors, and partners to deliver D365 solutions that meet business needs
  • Support D365 implementations, upgrades, integrations, testing, training, and rollouts across Delmar offices
  • Create and perform system testing and support user acceptance testing
  • Investigate system issues, find causes, and work with technical teams to resolve them
  • Monitor recurring issues and user feedback and recommend improvements
  • Help maintain D365 standards, security, processes, and governance
  • Support data analysis, data migration, data cleanup, and system integrations
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, documentation, and user guides
  • Provide user training, system demonstrations, and support to encourage adoption
  • Support D365 releases, upgrades, and changes while minimizing business disruption
  • Participate in global technology projects, including integrations, acquisitions, and office launches
  • Provide regular project and issue updates to the Director, Technology Solutions, IT
  • Stay up to date on D365 and Power Platform features and recommend useful improvements
  • Provide after-hours support for major implementations, upgrades, and critical system issues when needed

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Familiarity with D365 CRM, such as Sales or Customer Service, is an asset
  • Knowledge of Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, or Power BI, is an asset
  • Ability to gather business requirements and turn them into system solutions
  • Ability to set up and configure D365 is preferred
  • Familiarity with system implementations, upgrades, integrations, or migrations
  • Background in logistics, transportation, freight, customs, or supply chain is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with CargoWise or similar systems is an asset
  • D365, Power Platform, Business Analysis, or project-management certifications are an asset
