For over 70 years, Valto Engineered Materials has set the standard in FRP composite panels used by top transportation OEMs under the trusted brands Kemlite and Armortuf. Our lightweight, durable products support demanding environments across trailers, truck bodies, RVs, and more. Now, we're growing - and we're looking for a motivated sales professional to help drive that momentum.
Why This Role Matters
As our District Sales Manager - Transportation, you'll be the face of Valto within the Midwest: Building relationships with OEMs, dealers, and fleets, introducing new products, and uncovering growth opportunities. You'll own a well-established territory while also shaping its future.
What You'll Do
• Manage and grow an established Midwest territory of OEMs, dealers, and fleets.
• Identify key contacts and influencers within target accounts to expand product penetration.
• Build strategic account plans by customer, product line, and geography.
• Champion new product introductions through presentations, onsite visits, and dealer/fleet engagement.
• Demonstrate product value to secure new specifications and pull-through sales opportunities.
• Maintain and support ongoing business, ensuring customer needs are met with quick, fair issue resolution.
• Foster strong, consistent communication to build positive long-term relationships.
• Attend key industry trade shows.
• Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities.
• Capture highlights, opportunities, and account activities through CRM.
What You Bring to the table
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of professional sales experience, ideally in the transportation market.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, and internal partners.
• Willingness to travel 25-30% overnight.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Experience with pull-through or specification-based selling is a plus.
• Strong planning, time-management, and organizational skills.
