Job description
Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Moultrie (www.moultrie.com) is the leader in game feeders and cellular camera innovation, building products used by hunters, property owners, and others for real-time remote monitoring.
We take pride in developing deep user understanding, obsessing about the details, and going the extra mile to show our users we love them. Moultrie is customer-driven – hardware, software, marketing, and customer success teams collaborate to deliver a quality user experience.
We are guided by the following principles: Customer Obsession.; Excellence is the Standard.; Bias for Action.; Act Boldly.; Deliver Results.; Hire and Develop the Best.; Be Curious and Learn.; Win as a Team
Owner of test coverage for the User Subscriptions experience in the Moultrie Mobile App — subscription, activation, and billing flows across app and web. Work with the Product Owner, developers, and the broader QA team to ensure thorough testing, clear bug documentation, and release readiness. Open to intermediate candidates ready to take full ownership; strong junior candidates will be considered with QA Lead mentorship in the early months.
Feature testing
- Author, review, and execute test cases for subscription, activation, and billing flows on iOS, Android, and the web experience
- Validate acceptance criteria against built features
- Run functional, negative, edge-case, and regression tests
- Verify subscription-tier gating, entitlements, and payment/billing behavior (Zuora, Adyen)
Bug management
- Log clear defects in Azure DevOps with repro steps, expected vs. actual results, environment details, and evidence
- Retest fixes and confirm closure
- Flag incomplete or ambiguous requirements during refinement
Regression and release
- Participate in regression cycles and pre-release smoke testing
- Identify and escalate cross-feature risks that could affect release readiness — especially where billing, entitlements, or activation intersect
Collaboration
- Work with the Product Owner and QA Lead on requirements review and sprint readiness
- Peer-review test cases and bug reports written by other QAs
- Uphold and strengthen team quality standards
- 1+ years software QA experience (functional testing, bug reporting, test execution)
- Mobile testing experience on iOS and Android
- Clear, structured bug reporting skills
- Agile/sprint experience
- Familiarity with test-case management and bug tracking (Azure DevOps preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Self-directed and able to manage testing priorities within a sprint
- Experience testing subscription, billing, or payment flows
- Familiarity with subscription-tier gating, entitlements, and plan/pricing logic
- Web testing experience alongside mobile
- Linking test cases to work items in Azure DevOps
- Testing on real devices across multiple iOS and Android versions
- Experience partnering with automation engineers
- Familiarity with Sentry, crash logs, or other observability tools
