Rush Counseling Center is currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in the Tampa, Florida area. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while focusing on providing high-quality mental health services to clients in a hospice care setting. This position is primarily remote, allowing our LCSW to engage with clients from the comfort of their chosen workspace while maintaining contact with the hospice center for coordination of care. • Engage with clients in both office and community settings, providing individual, group, and family therapy to those facing major mental illness and severe emotional disorders.
• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to identify clients’ mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to inform treatment plans.
• Create personalized care plans that integrate therapeutic services and facilitate access to additional resources, maintaining close communication with clients, family members, and healthcare providers.
• Participate actively as a compassionate team member, collaborating on goals and sharing insights to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Assist in crisis intervention, offering immediate support and strategies to manage acute mental health situations effectively.
• Monitor and document client progress, ensuring timely completion of reports and adherence to agency requirements while also fulfilling all regulatory and safety protocols.
• Provide on-call coverage during both regular and after-hours to support clients’ needs as they arise.
• Engage with agency committees focused on improving service delivery, quality assurance, and overall patient care experiences.

The primary demographic served through this role includes clients within the hospice care spectrum who are coping with the psychological and emotional impacts of terminal illness. These clients often exhibit complex emotional responses, including anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation, necessitating tailored therapeutic interventions that respect their unique life circumstances and stages of acceptance. Implementing strategies that promote choice and empowerment is vital in facilitating their journeys towards meaningful end-of-life experiences.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) is required, with a focus on clinical applications being advantageous for this position.
• Active LCSW licensure in Florida is mandatory for delivering therapeutic services in clinical settings.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health environment, particularly in settings involving crisis intervention or palliative care.
• Expertise in assessment techniques, treatment methodologies, and knowledge of community resources beneficial for clients within hospice contexts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated organizational abilities to manage caseloads efficiently while ensuring high-quality client care.

Experience in working within hospice, palliative care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by those with terminal illnesses would enhance your ability to connect and support our clients effectively.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
