Human Resource Generalist
Axiom has an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to support our Human Resources Department. This position is remote, but the selected candidate must reside in the Maryland area.
Responsibilities:
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and ensure the company's employee documentation and reports meet management's needs and compliance standards. Assist the HR Manager in developing formal standard office procedures for all HR department tasks.
  • Recruitment & Selection: Assist in the recruitment process. Post job openings, source resumes, and schedule interviews. Administer incentives and referral programs.
  • Employee Onboarding & Offboarding: Process new hire paperwork. Provide employees with the necessary information and resources. Prepare exit interviews. Process employee terminations, and conduct offboarding activities.
  • Benefits Administration: Enroll employees in benefit programs. Process benefit-related inquiries and status changes (We are supported by an excellent benefits broker service).
  • Employee Communications: Develop content and designs for communicating important information to employees and potential hires.
  • Employee-related Initiatives: Support initiatives related to increasing employee engagement, productivity, satisfaction, training and development, including company events and campaigns.
  • Performance Management & Training: Assist the HR Manager in the coordination of the performance appraisal processes and perform follow-up with managers if schedules are not met. Maintain performance records. Assist with employee training and development programs.

Minimum Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Be able to pass background screening prior to employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or equivalent years of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting human resources operations.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication, problem-solving skills, and be a team player.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • HR certification a plus.
  • Federal contracting experience a plus.
