Custom Solutions Software Engineer

What are the challenges and how will you make an impact?
LenelS2's Custom Solutions Team develops custom software that extends the OnGuard security platform. These applications are critical to the security operations of Fortune 100 firms, financial institutions, universities and government facilities. As a member of the LenelS2 Custom Solutions team, you would be involved in the entire software development lifecycle.
In this position, you will assist with development, testing, deployment and support of customer driven software solutions that meet the unique requirements of our customers. This position will be responsible for completing projects as assigned to include custom Crystal Reports, data import and export, and custom application integrations. Responsibilities will also include providing support for existing customers of Lenel's Custom Solutions, performing remote and, on-site as needed, installation of Custom Solutions-developed software.

You will be part of the growing Custom Solutions organization within LenelS2. You will be exposed to all aspects of the software development lifecycle utilizing various technologies. This experience will enable you to not only expand your skillset to expanded roles within Custom Solutions, but will also give you opportunity to move into other engineering teams within LenelS2.
Overview:
As a Custom Solutions Software Support Engineer, you will assist in the development and installation of software applications that extend and enhance the OnGuard product. Your projects would include custom integrations to third party software systems, extensions to OnGuard to allow our customers to meet regulatory compliance guidelines, and custom applications that help ensure the safety and security of our customer's employees and facilities.

  • Develop software solutions on schedule that meet customer requirements
  • Test software prior to installation to ensure we deliver high quality solutions every time
  • Install software on customer systems. Installation is typically installed over a remote connection, though on-site installation is possible for high security sites without an internet connection to their security network
  • Test and provide sustaining engineering for existing commercially available software solutions developed by the Custom Solutions team

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field or suitable experience
  • 2+ years of work experience developing in C#
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Experience testing and supporting software installations
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to emerging technologies
  • Customer service orientation, ability to develop strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism consistent with a world-class service provider
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment

  • Experience with SQL Server database development
  • Experience with reporting tools
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET, ADO.NET, WCF, WPF, or WinForms

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,200- $124,100. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
