Inner Strength Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our thriving telehealth practice in Tacoma, Washington. Work Environment

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will work in a fully virtual setting. This telehealth facility allows you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home while utilizing our state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems. You will have the tools and resources necessary to provide effective therapy, including video conferencing software, secure client management systems, and access to professional development resources. Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status by utilizing evidence-based diagnostic tools and approaches.
• Designing tailored treatment plans that address specific challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
• Meeting regularly with clients to track their progress and provide ongoing support, utilizing therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices.
• Providing necessary referrals to psychiatrists or other healthcare professionals as part of a comprehensive care strategy.
• Staying informed about the latest developments in mental health research and treatment modalities to enhance client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing chronic mental health disorders, adolescents experiencing emotional distress, or families navigating complex issues. A significant part of your role will involve understanding cultural competencies to deliver effective and tailored therapy. You will also be expected to foster a warm, respectful environment where clients feel safe sharing their experiences and challenges.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A currently valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Washington State.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual therapy platforms.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates who possess the following will be preferred:

• Experience delivering individual and group therapy with culturally responsive techniques.
• A deep understanding of trauma-informed care practices.
• Familiarity with telehealth methodologies and remote therapeutic interventions.

Compensation and Benefits
