Your daily responsibilities as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments to determine each client's unique mental health needs and crafting tailored treatment plans to guide their therapy journey.
• Delivering individualized therapeutic counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness approaches.
• Staying abreast of the latest developments in the mental health field by engaging in professional development opportunities and integrating new methods into your practice.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, which may include psychiatrists, social workers, and peer counselors, to ensure comprehensive care and improved healing outcomes for clients.
• Building strong and supportive therapeutic relationships with clients, helping them feel safe and understood while navigating their challenges.
• Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate and confidential records in line with HIPAA regulations.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults from varied backgrounds experiencing issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance use. Your commitment to cultural competence and empathy will be paramount in effectively addressing the unique experiences and challenges faced by each individual.

• A master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field.
• Current licensure in California as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, specifically in providing direct care to clients.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that allow for effective client interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems for managing client interactions and care coordination.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in community mental health settings or specialized training in trauma-informed care are highly preferred. Familiarity with group therapy techniques and crisis intervention is also advantageous.
