Remote Brand Identity Designer information

What does a remote brand identity designer do?

A Remote Brand Identity Designer is a creative professional who develops the visual aspects of a brand, such as logos, color schemes, typography, and other design elements, while working from a remote location. They collaborate with clients or teams virtually to understand brand values, target audiences, and business goals, translating those insights into cohesive visual identities. Their work ensures that a company's branding is consistent and recognizable across all digital and print platforms, helping to establish a strong, memorable presence in the market.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote brand identity designer?

To thrive as a Remote Brand Identity Designer, you need expertise in visual design, branding principles, and proficiency with design software, often supported by a degree in graphic design or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and platforms for remote collaboration such as Figma or Slack is typically required. Strong communication, creativity, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for articulating ideas, collaborating with clients, and managing projects independently. These skills and qualities ensure the delivery of compelling brand identities that resonate with target audiences, even when working remotely.

How does a remote brand identity designer typically collaborate with clients and team members across different time zones?

As a Remote Brand Identity Designer, effective communication is key since you'll often work with clients, creative directors, and marketing teams spread across various locations. Collaboration usually happens through video calls, project management platforms, and shared design tools, allowing for real-time feedback and revisions. Flexibility in scheduling meetings and maintaining clear documentation of design decisions help ensure everyone stays aligned. Building strong relationships remotely also involves proactive updates and being responsive to feedback, which fosters trust and smooth project workflows.

Job description

Elevate the Brand. Build the Foundation. Shape the Experience.

Great brands are constantly evolving.

We're looking for a Senior Brand Designer who can help us build on our strong foundation, modernize our visual expression, and create new opportunities for creative excellence across the business.

Reporting to the Director of Brand & Communications, you'll partner with colleagues across Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Product, and senior leadership to create compelling visual experiences that strengthen our brand, support business growth, and help tell the OneSpan story in a clear, consistent, and engaging way.

As OneSpan continues to grow and evolve, you'll play an important role in shaping how our brand appears across every customer touchpoint, helping us elevate creative quality, strengthen consistency, and build the systems that allow exceptional design to scale.

This is an opportunity to influence how a global technology company communicates, create work that reaches audiences around the world, and help define the next chapter of the OneSpan brand.

Why This Role Matters

At OneSpan, design is more than a creative function. It plays a critical role in how customers, prospects, partners, analysts, investors, and employees experience our brand.

We're looking for someone who can help us elevate the quality, consistency, and impact of our visual communications while bringing fresh thinking and modern B2B design practices to the organization.

You'll collaborate closely with teams across Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and Product to translate strategy into compelling visual experiences. From product launches and demand generation campaigns to executive presentations, thought leadership, events, and corporate communications, your work will help shape how OneSpan is seen and understood in the market.

Why You'll Love This Role

This is a rare opportunity to help shape how a global technology company presents itself to customers, partners, analysts, investors, and employees around the world.

You'll work directly with senior leaders across Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, and Sales, giving you visibility into major company initiatives and the opportunity to influence how they're brought to life.

You'll have the freedom to contribute both strategically and creatively while helping build the systems and standards that will shape the future of the OneSpan brand.

As OneSpan continues to evolve its brand and creative capabilities, this role offers the opportunity to expand your influence, shape creative direction, and help define how design contributes to the company's growth.

What You'll Build:  The Brand

  • You'll help evolve and strengthen OneSpan's visual identity, ensuring our brand reflects the innovation, expertise, and trust at the core of our business.
  • You'll create work that balances creativity with clarity and helps audiences better understand who we are, what we do, and why it matters.

The Business

  • Design at OneSpan supports business outcomes.
  • You'll partner across Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and senior leadership to create visual experiences that support product launches, customer engagement, sales enablement, and brand awareness.

The Experience

  • You'll help create consistent and engaging experiences across campaigns, digital channels, presentations, events, executive communications, social media, and marketing programs.
  • Every touchpoint is an opportunity to strengthen how people experience the OneSpan brand.

The Foundation

  • You'll help create the design systems, templates, workflows, and self-service resources that make it easier for employees across the organization to create high-quality, on-brand communications.
  • The goal isn't simply better design. It's creating a scalable creative foundation that enables consistency, efficiency, and creative excellence across the business.

What We Hope You'll Help Us Achieve

We're looking for someone who can help us elevate the creative maturity of our organization and strengthen how OneSpan shows up in the market.

Together, we'll work toward:

  • A brand that feels more modern, cohesive, and differentiated across every touchpoint.
  • Creative work that consistently reflects the quality, innovation, and expertise behind our products and people.
  • Stronger visual storytelling that helps simplify complex ideas and strengthen customer understanding.
  • Design systems, templates, and self-service resources that empower employees while protecting brand integrity.
  • A more efficient and scalable creative process that balances consistency with the flexibility needed to support diverse business needs.
  • Greater alignment across Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and Communications through shared visual standards and best practices.
  • A culture that values creativity, craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • A stronger creative foundation that enables OneSpan's brand to evolve and grow with the business.

Who Will Thrive Here

You may be a great fit if:

  • You have a sharp creative eye and exceptional attention to detail.
  • You understand how modern B2B brands build trust, engagement, and differentiation.
  • You care deeply about craft, consistency, and quality.
  • You enjoy transforming complexity into simple, compelling visual stories.
  • You see design as a business function, not simply a creative service.
  • You can move comfortably between strategy and execution.
  • You enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • You believe the best creative work happens through partnership, curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • You enjoy sharing ideas, elevating the work around you, and contributing to a strong creative culture.
  • You're excited by the opportunity to help modernize and strengthen a global technology brand.

Experience We're Looking For

  • Approximately 7+ years of professional graphic, brand, visual, or marketing design experience.
  • At least 5 years supporting B2B technology, enterprise software, cybersecurity, SaaS, financial services, or similarly complex industries.
  • Demonstrated success evolving and modernizing a corporate brand.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging visual stories that improve understanding and support business objectives.
  • Experience building scalable design systems, brand guidelines, visual frameworks, templates, and reusable creative assets.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across product marketing, digital marketing, demand generation, executive presentations, social media, event branding, web, sales enablement, and customer communications.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership, Product Marketing, Marketing, Communications, and Sales teams.
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority initiatives while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
  • Experience directing external creative agencies, freelancers, photographers, illustrators, and production vendors preferred.
  • Experience incorporating AI-assisted creative tools into design workflows while maintaining high creative standards is highly desirable.

 Technical Skills

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; After Effects preferred)
  • Figma
  • PowerPoint (expert level)
  • Experience creating digital-first marketing assets
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and modern web design principles
  • Experience designing for web, email, social media, presentations, events, and video
  • Experience working within DAM platforms and brand management systems preferred

The Opportunity

If you're excited by the opportunity to help shape a modern B2B brand, influence how a company tells its story, build systems that make great design scalable, and create work that helps people better understand complex ideas, we'd love to meet you.

Salary: $130,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience and qualifications) + bonus
