About the Role

NikoHealth is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Finance & Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable activities, maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time.

This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, code, and process vendor invoices and payment requests.
  • Ensure invoices have appropriate approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and related documentation when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and account information.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging and assist with timely payment processing.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments regarding invoices and payment inquiries.
  • Assist with employee expense reports and reimbursement processing.
  • Maintain organized and confidential financial documentation.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end accounting activities, including audit support and documentation requests.
  • Prepare and maintain AP reports and spreadsheets as requested.
  • Support 1099 preparation and other accounting-related reporting activities.
  • Identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and recommend improvements to AP processes.
  • Follow company accounting policies, internal controls, and data-security requirements.
  • Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or a related accounting function preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable and basic accounting principles.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP software is preferred.
