Job description

LHH is partnering with a nonprofit organization to identify a part-time Bookkeeper for their team. This position can be mostly remote after training. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience. Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred as well. You will be handling reconciliations, month end close tasks, and supporting accounts payable. You will need to be able to work around 20 hours a week within normal business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a contract position for at least six months that offers a quick interview process. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
  • Process invoices, payments, deposits, and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with company accounting procedures.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting support.
  • Track and monitor cash flow, outstanding receivables, and vendor balances.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and support audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or other ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
