Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments for couples and families to identify issues and develop effective treatment plans.
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples and individuals, addressing a range of topics including communication difficulties, family dynamics, and personal challenges.
• Providing specialized therapy for clients dealing with alcohol abuse, grief and loss, job stress, and conflict resolution among family members.
• Coaching families through complex transitions such as separation, divorce, and the challenges of blended family dynamics.
• Creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel valued and understood, promoting open dialogue and collaboration.
• Documenting client progress and developing ongoing treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive care that aligns with best practices in mental health.
• Participating in regular team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and engage in continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve supporting a diverse clientele, including adults and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will engage with clients from different backgrounds, ensuring cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in your therapeutic approach. Whether assisting families in crisis or individuals seeking to improve their relational health, your role will be critical in facilitating their paths to recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, vital for establishing trust and rapport with clients.
• Strong empathetic qualities, with a nonjudgmental attitude that fosters a safe space for client dialogue.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle a diverse caseload efficiently and effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with teletherapy practices and the ability to adapt traditional therapeutic methods to virtual platforms.
• Adeptness in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in family therapy settings is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
