• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ symptoms and the impact on their daily functioning, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools and clinical interviews.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
• Implement evidence-based clinical interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to fit individual client situations.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and treatment avenues, empowering them with self-care strategies and coping mechanisms.
• Track clients’ progress meticulously and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care and effectiveness of interventions.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical staff to deliver cohesive and comprehensive patient-centered care.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health treatment through continuous professional development and program updates.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of all client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to enhance your clinical skills and share best practices.
• Advocate for our clients by fostering an inclusive atmosphere and striving to reduce the stigma associated with mental health challenges.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals dealing with mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, serving a diverse population that encompasses various demographics in Macon, Georgia, and beyond. Your efforts will directly support clients on their path to recovery by providing empathetic understanding and tailored therapeutic interventions that promote resilience and emotional well-being.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.
• Extensive knowledge of evidence-based modalities, specifically CBT and DBT, and their application in treating mood disorders.
• An understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to coordinate effectively with psychiatrists for integrated care.
• Proven track record of successfully treating mood disorders, demonstrating positive client outcomes and satisfaction.
• Outstanding communication skills and the capability to establish connections with clients of all backgrounds, fostering a safe therapeutic environment.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting. Experience using teletherapy tools and techniques will be highly regarded, given the remote nature of this position. Familiarity with local community resources for mental health support can also enhance your effectiveness in this role.

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include:
