Job description

Workplace Location: Hybrid or Remote

The Company is seeking a temporary Paralegal/Contracts Specialist to support the Legal Department with clinical trial contracting, contract lifecycle management, document management, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong contract experience supporting a global Phase III clinical trial, experience with various technology platforms and solutions, and excellent organizational skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Support drafting, review, negotiation, tracking, and execution of clinical trial-related agreements, including clinical trial agreements, site agreements, vendor agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, amendments, statements of work, and related documents.
  • Manage contract trackers, status reports, signature processes, and contract lifecycle management system updates.
  • Help develop, refine, and maintain contract templates, playbooks, checklists, intake forms, and contract workflows.
  • Review agreements for consistency with company templates and approved fallback positions.
  • Track key legal and business terms, contract milestones, renewal dates, expiration dates, and outstanding approvals.
  • Assist with privacy, compliance, and clinical trial documentation support, including GDPR, HIPAA, data processing agreements, and trial-related vendor documentation.
  • Provide general paralegal support to the Legal Department as needed.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of paralegal or contract management experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO required.
  • Experience supporting global Phase III clinical trials, site contracting, CRO agreements, and vendor agreements required.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems, e-signature platforms, and legal matter or document management tools.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms used to track, manage, and store agreements and related documents (such as GateKeeper).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple agreements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
