Paralegal - US Remote

The Paralegal will be responsible for assisting in various strategic projects and day-to-day activities to support the Legal commercial transactions and IP groups. The incumbent must be a hands-on, results-focused individual with exceptional organizational skills, and must possess unimpeachable integrity and credibility in order to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding legal activities.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit/recognize the importance of building effective relationships and establishing trust to build collaborative relationships
  • Work with deadlines and manages multiple stakeholders
  • Continually improve systems and processes used to deliver results
  • Understand the organization's system environment and tools
  • Understand the key legal, regulatory, ethical and reputational risks in situations facing the business 
  • Manage contract database systems to meet weekly update deadlines
  • Provide support to legal team members related to contract lifecycle and IP management
  • Review and edit confidentiality agreements, memos, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations
  • Support review of outside counsel invoices and e-billing
  • Manage the general legal inbox 
  • Ask appropriate business opportunity questions to make informed and aligned and decisions
  • Identify and work to ideal circumstances and outcomes during negotiations
  • Avoid using hearsay or personal opinions and negotiate based on valid information from both sides
  • Invest time and resources to ensure understanding of the business, its processes and objectives
  • Possess an awareness of the impact of own work on the company's integrity and ethics strategy

Qualifications 

  • High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience, OR
  • AAS Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, OR
  • BA/BS Degree or higher in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience

Preferred

  • Paralegal certification 
  • Experience with contract databases and legal and IP management systems such as Spring CM, DocuSign, and IPFolio

Other Qualifications

  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • May be required to pass Occupational Health Screening

Pay Range: $65,000-$89,000/yr.

Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
