Job description

Job Type: Contract
Length: 1 year (renewable)
Pay Rate: $90 - $110/hr.
Location: Remote (United States)

Position Summary:

-10+ years of biostatistics experience, with extensive oncology clinical trial experience
-Strong hands-on experience supporting Phase 2/3 studies, including protocol, SAP, TLFs, data review, and study deliverables
-Experience working cross-functionally with clinical, data management, programming, and medical teams
-Experience overseeing CRO statistical and programming activities
-Prostate cancer experience would be highly preferred


Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with Medical Directors, Clinical Scientists, Regulatory Affairs, Statistical Programming, Data Management, Medical Writing, and other colleagues to design clinical trials and frame statistical approaches to key drug-development questions.

- Contribute to or lead the development of study protocols, including sample size calculations and statistical methodology sections.

- Author Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), define derived variables, and provide specifications to programming teams.

- Perform or oversee statistical analyses according to the SAP; review Tables, Figures, and Listings (TFLs); and contribute to Clinical Study Reports (CSRs).

- Provide statistical insight into the interpretation and discussion of study results.

- Support regulatory interactions (e.g., analysis plans, briefing documents, advisory committee materials) and respond to agency questions.

- Participate in or lead post-hoc analyses, exploratory analyses, and evidence-generation activities (including Phase IV or real-world evidence studies, as applicable).

- Promote statistical thinking across the organization through training, consultation, and collaboration.

- Stay current with evolving statistical methodologies, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices; evaluate and apply innovative approaches when appropriate.

- Mentor more junior statisticians and contribute to process improvement and departmental initiatives.


Qualifications:

Required:

- PhD or equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field with relevant pharmaceutical/biotech experience, **or**

- MS in Statistics/Biostatistics with substantial industry experience (typically 10+ years depending on level).

- Solid understanding of clinical trial design, analysis, and interpretation in a regulated environment.

- Proficiency with statistical software (SAS required; R highly preferred; experience with other tools such as Python a plus).

- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines (FDA, EMA) and ICH standards related to statistical practice.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrixed teams in a remote environment.
