Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dedicated team at Teen Therapy Counseling Center. This full-time, remote role offers a unique opportunity to provide vital mental health services to adolescents and families while maintaining a flexible schedule that supports work-life balance.

About the Organization

Teen Therapy Counseling Center is a community-focused health clinic based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals with limited access to care. Our team of professionals is committed to supporting emotional well-being and personal growth through tailored therapeutic interventions. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, inclusive, and compassionate work environment, where the focus is not just on client care but also on the professional development of our team members.

Work Environment

This role operates in a remote setting, allowing you the flexibility to create a workspace that best suits your needs while also engaging with a team that values communication and collaboration. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary group of healthcare providers working together to ensure comprehensive, quality care for our clients. Regular virtual meetings and training sessions foster a strong team culture despite the physical distance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough client assessments to establish individualized therapy plans, integrating evidence-based practices into each session.
  • Provide various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, designed specifically to meet the diverse needs of your clients.
  • Engage actively in case discussions with the multidisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring holistic care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing powerful EMR software to streamline documentation and billing processes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities by attending workshops and training sessions designed to keep you at the forefront of mental health research and practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus will be on adolescents and their families who face challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Many of our clients come from underserved communities and have limited access to traditional mental health services. You will play a crucial role in helping these individuals navigate their mental health concerns, establish coping strategies, and foster resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Must hold an active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling role, ideally within a clinical setting, demonstrating your capacity to handle a diverse case load effectively.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients from all backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use counseling will be viewed favorably.
  • Experience working with EMR software and other technologies designed to enhance clinical workflows.
  • A demonstrated ability to work cohesively within a team to provide comprehensive care is highly desired.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and client caseload. Benefits include:

  • Comprehensive health benefits, including dental and vision insurance.
  • Access to malpractice insurance for peace of mind.
  • Support with client referrals and reduced workload through our efficient billing and documentation processes.
  • Flexible schedule options that permit a balance between your professional and personal life.
  • A sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Teen Therapy Counseling Center, we are committed to your professional development. You will have access to regular training, conferences, and workshops aimed at enhancing your skills and knowledge in the field. Opportunities for mentorship and career advancement are integral to our work culture, allowing you to shape your career path based on your interests and aspirations.

Why Join Our Team

Joining our team means becoming part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of teens and their families. We value collaboration, innovation, and empathy, providing a supportive environment where counselors can thrive. If you are passionate about mental health and want to contribute to meaningful change, we encourage you to apply.
