Job Description
The BI Developer proactively identifies root causes in complex data and business processes, not just building dashboards but diagnosing issues and proposing solutions. They connect and model data across CRM, ERP, SQL, and cloud systems to deliver insights that drive sales performance and strategic decision-making. This role blends technical Power BI expertise with analytical problem-solving to design, recommend, and execute scalable intelligence solutions.

Accountabilities in This Role
Collaborating with the Sr. Manager, Strategic Initiatives, this role will design and deliver advanced intelligence solutions that empower our sales organization teams. Success requires technical expertise, eye for business, and a proactive approach to innovation.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Power BI Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends.
    • Build robust data models using DAX and Power Query for optimized performance.
  • Data Integration & Analysis:
    • Connect and harmonize data from various sources (CRM, ERP, SQL, cloud systems).
    • Analyze sales trends, product performance, and team KPIs to identify actionable insights.
  • Sales & Marketing Enablement:
    • Collaborate with leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into BI solutions.
    • Deliver insights that support sales contests, incentive programs, and commercial analytics.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Know the latest Power BI features and BI standard processes.
    • Champion automation and self-service analytics to reduce manual reporting.
  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    • Resolve issues related to data integration, performance tuning, and accessibility.

Minimal travel is required for this position.
You should reside locally, as this role requires you to go in the Tempe, AZ office 1 day a week.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
    • Strong proficiency in integrating Power BI with SQL databases, CRM Systems (Salesforce), and ERP systems.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
    • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Power BI Service and Report Server for enterprise deployment.
    • Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView).
