Project name: Direct Deposit Real Time Validation Project

Sr. BSA needed to support a successful implementation of real time bank validation. This is a compliance and security concern for our client’s employee population.  Must have PeopleSoft Payroll Knowledge, experience with banking/direct deposit validation, and experience working with banking vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business requirements, elicitation, and stakeholder engagement to define project objectives and business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and actionable deliverables for technical teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and project delivery teams to ensure alignment.
  • Support solution design by validating business requirements and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordinate requirements management, traceability, and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support testing activities, including defining acceptance criteria and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify and communicate business risks, issues, dependencies, and recommendations to project leadership.
  • Provide ongoing business analysis support through implementation, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.

Job Description: Sr. Business Systems Analyst (BSA4)

Involves technology-based analysis of business practices, processes and problems; developing solutions which may involve process design, data and information architecture, software development and policy or procedural changes; creating specifications for systems to meet requirements; validating requirements against needs; designing details of automated systems; developing user interface design; planning and executing unit integration and end-user acceptance testing; may develop training materials for system implementation. May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues.

Essential Functions

  • Applies advanced business analysis concepts to identify, evaluate and define highly complex systems scope and objectives based on advanced knowledge of applicable business practices, processes and systems and industry standards to meet end-user needs. Works at the highest technical level of various phases of systems analysis. Considers the business implications of applying technology to the current and future business environment.
  • Initiates, designs or modifies highly complex systems and procedures where standardized policies or procedures may or may not exist. Creates highly technical specifications for systems with broad impact at a campus / medical center / OP or within a large organization. Develops unit integration and acceptance testing plans and scenarios. May lead cross-functional teams to address complex business or systems issues.
  • Initiates, facilitates, implements and documents work process changes. Prepares and approves or obtains approval for business process and procedural documentation. Initiates and oversees changes in processes and procedures. Sets the technical requirements for complex specifications.
  • Performs highly complex analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system and process requirement specifications. Provides advanced support and training on new applications. Mentors experienced Business Systems Analyst

Qualifications

  • 8+ Years of Experience with PeopleSoft

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • PeopleSoft Payroll Knowledge, experience with banking/direct deposit validation. Experience working with banking vendors.
  • Experience supporting the PeopleSoft application within Benefits, Payroll and/or WFA
  • Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions.
  • Knowledge relating to the design of processes and software across the organization.
  • Advanced skills and methodologies associated with process and software design, modification, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated skills needed to develop process and system implementation plans.
  • Demonstrated experience with process analysis, systems analysis, process architectures and systems analysis methodologies and practices including traditional waterfall, Agile, Agile Scrum, UML, UML Enterprise, et cetera.
  • Understanding and skill in complex process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
