Job description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Facility-Based | East Northport, NY | Part-Time | $40-450 Per Visit

Stern at Home Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments at an established facility in East Northport, NY.

This is a part-time W-2 opportunity with a consistent patient caseload, flexible scheduling, and the support of an experienced clinical and administrative team.

If you're looking for the consistency of facility-based care without the pressure of high-volume outpatient clinics, this role offers the best of both worlds.

What You'll Do:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Stern at Home Therapy, you will provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments to a primarily geriatric patient population at a single established facility in East Northport.

You will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists who provide remote clinical oversight and establish each patient's plan of care. PTAs do not perform evaluations in this role, allowing you to focus on delivering treatments and helping patients progress toward their established goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments at a single facility.
  • Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Work closely with remote supervising PTs regarding patient progress, changes in condition, and treatment recommendations.
  • Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, safety, and overall function.
  • Complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
  • Communicate with patients, families, facility staff, supervising PTs, and members of the clinical team.
  • Coordinate with our administrative team regarding scheduling and patient care.
  • Manage your schedule based on your availability.

Compensation:

Part-Time W-2:

  • $40 per visit

Part-Time 1099:

  • $45 per visit

Benefits:

Eligible part-time W-2 employees may receive:

  • Medical wellness stipend.
  • Quarterly wellness stipend.
  • 401(k) with annual match.
  • Student loan repayment program.
  • CEU support.
  • Equipment provided.

Why Join Stern at Home Therapy?

  • Work exclusively at one established facility-no driving between patients.
  • Flexible part-time scheduling built around your availability.
  • Consistent patient caseload.
  • One-on-one patient care with no double-booking.
  • Work with remote supervising Physical Therapists who establish plans of care and provide clinical oversight.
  • Dedicated administrative support for scheduling and coordination.
  • Shadowing available if you're new to facility-based rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

  • An active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New York is required.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote supervising Physical Therapists and facility staff.
  • Skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or home health experience is preferred but not required.

Apply Today:

If you're a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant looking for flexible part-time work at a single facility in East Northport, we'd love to hear from you.
