As a mental health counselor at Riverside, you will engage with clients using secure video conferencing tools, allowing you to establish a connection and provide effective therapy without geographical constraints. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health needs, formulating clinical diagnoses to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
• Deliver crisis intervention services to support clients facing acute mental health challenges, ensuring immediate and appropriate care during emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, compliant with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate holistic care for clients.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment pathways, and community resources, advocating for their rights and needs when necessary.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training workshops and educational opportunities to stay current with advancements in mental health therapy.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) is required.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

• A minimum of two years of related experience in mental health counseling is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective rapport-building with clients.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team structure.

• Experience in a clinical setting with both individuals and groups is preferred.
