As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Wellpower, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting personalized assessments to understand clients' unique mental health concerns.
• Designing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to the individual or family needs.
• Facilitating therapy sessions with individuals and couples, utilizing diverse therapeutic techniques to promote healing.
• Addressing issues such as alcohol and substance abuse, conflicts within family dynamics, grief and loss, medical issues, and adjusting to separation and divorce.
• Documenting client progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and referring clients to additional specialists as necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest therapeutic methods.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing emotional distress, couples navigating relationship issues, and families dealing with conflicts. By providing empathetic care and supportive counseling, you will guide clients to overcome challenges related to mental health disorders and lead them towards a healthier lifestyle.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic services, particularly focusing on family and relationship counseling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport with clients.

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in an outpatient setting or working with specific populations such as blended families, individuals dealing with grief, or those facing job-related stress will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also beneficial.
