• Client Assessments: Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for clients, documenting case histories and treatment progress from the initial consultation through to discharge.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment and recovery plans that take into account their unique needs and aspirations.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques that promote emotional and behavioral health.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess clients' progress on treatment plans and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Caregiver Support: Educate and guide family members and caregivers on mental health challenges and supportive strategies to foster recovery and well-being.

Our client population encompasses individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and dual diagnoses involving substance use disorders. • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required for initial consideration. Candidates with a Master's or doctoral degree are strongly preferred.
• A current and valid license for mental health counseling (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or LCSW-R) issued in the state of New York.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) software, including systems like AVATAR, is preferred to ensure efficient documentation and client tracking.

• Previous work experience in a mental health counseling role, with a proven track record of effective client care.
• Experience working with clients suffering from both psychological distress and addiction disorders.
• Knowledge of best practices in mental health as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Strong understanding of the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals and their effects on mental health.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
