• Conduct detailed initial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance abuse needs, utilizing structured interviews and standardized tools.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, regularly reviewing and adjusting them based on client progress and feedback.
• Provide individual therapy sessions, group therapy, and family counseling designed to promote healing, build resilience, and enhance interpersonal dynamics.
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment interventions using electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in regular collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team to integrate diverse perspectives and coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Participate actively in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and professional development workshops to ensure ongoing improvement in practices.
• Offer crisis intervention services, when necessary, to support clients during acute episodes, addressing immediate needs while planning for longer-term support.
• Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices within mental health and substance abuse treatment, integrating this knowledge into daily practice.

The individuals you will serve come from diverse backgrounds, facing various challenges relating to mental health conditions ranging from anxiety and depression to complex substance use disorders. Many clients seek support to navigate transitional life stages, trauma recovery, and behavioral health crises. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these clients toward recovery and improved quality of life, building trust and rapport through compassionate care.

• A Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services is essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective engagement with clients and professional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote collaborative team, demonstrating strong organizational skills.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning is preferred.

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 75,000 and 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
