Allied Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in providing high-quality mental health care. This position is primarily remote, giving you the flexibility to serve clients from your home office while still being an integral part of our outpatient team. This remote setting includes virtual team meetings and access to our electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, enabling efficient case documentation and management. • Conduct initial assessments through comprehensive interviews and mental health evaluations for various client needs.
• Document the mental, behavioral, and emotional health status of clients from the first consultation through the entire treatment process.
• Create individualized interventions and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy contexts.
• Lead therapeutic sessions while nurturing a safe environment for open communication and emotional exploration.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nursing staff, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Follow up with any necessary referrals to ensure continuous client support and connection to resources.
• Assist family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges, equipping them with strategies to foster supportive environments at home.

Your primary focus will include a diverse client population dealing with various mental health challenges, ranging from anxiety and depression to relationship issues and trauma recovery. With an emphasis on personalized care, you will adapt your therapeutic approach to accommodate different cultural backgrounds, age groups, and individual circumstances, ensuring that each client feels heard, understood, and valued.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in Nevada.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing your capacity to work effectively in clinical settings.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) platforms such as AVATAR.
• Understanding of co-occurring disorders, including addiction and physical health conditions affecting mental health.
• Familiarity with the guidelines established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary for effective client interaction and documentation.
• Strong empathy, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.

• Experience in community mental health settings or outpatient service delivery.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and its implications for mental health treatment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in mental health care.
