Job description

An exciting opportunity awaits a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) seeking a uniquely collaborative full-time or part-time contract position serving K-8 students near Providence, RI. As the first BCBA in this dynamic school environment, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, shaping, and refining behavioral support systems alongside a dedicated team of two behavioral specialists, two social workers, and a collaborative network of educators. Most work focuses on early elementary (K-3), though caseloads are shared and can shift to meet the evolving needs of the student community.

Key Qualifications:

  • BCBA certification required
  • Master’s degree in special education, school psychology, social work, counseling, applied behavior analysis, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working in school settings and with diverse teams is desirable
  • Strong communication, consultation, and system-building skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a growing, collaborative environment

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Collaborate with specialists, social workers, and educators to implement and monitor behavioral support systems
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on behavior analysis for staff and families
  • Facilitate professional development and model best practices in behavioral interventions
  • Participate in team meetings every Wednesday until 4:45 pm (regular hours 7:45 am – 3:30 pm), with flexibility available
