Position Overview

Positive Pathways Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Lowell, Massachusetts. Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, harnessing the power of telehealth to reach clients throughout Massachusetts. Administrative support, including billing and marketing, will be handled by our staff, providing you with the freedom to concentrate on your clients without the added stress of running a business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to set meaningful and achievable treatment goals tailored to their individual needs.
• Deliver evidence-based, prevention-oriented therapy that promotes mental wellness across various age groups and backgrounds.
• Develop, implement, and review personalized treatment plans, adjusting them as necessary based on client progress.
• Engage with other treatment providers and community placement agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for your clients.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of each session, maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, providing effective therapy while keeping detailed session notes for accountability.
• Participate actively in regular staff meetings for case consultation and professional development.
• Contribute positively to the organizational culture, enhancing an environment of support and learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base ranges widely, encompassing individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As you work closely with these individuals, you will employ your skills to create safe, trusting spaces where clients can explore their mental health concerns and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• Minimum of one year of experience in mental health counseling or a related field, demonstrating an ability to work with diverse populations.
• Strong knowledge of community mental health resources, including referral pathways and local support services.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities for effective client engagement and collaboration.
• Interpersonal skills that foster rapport with clients, encouraging trust and openness in therapy sessions.
• Leadership qualities and a proactive attitude toward professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling best practices.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a mental health setting.
