In this role, you will provide crucial support and therapeutic services to students experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. • Directly provide clinical services to assigned clients, including assessment, individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the unique needs of students.
• Conduct evidence-based screenings and assessments, arranging for further evaluations when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor integrated care plans, facilitating access to essential services for students and fostering communication among families and service providers.
• Assist in crisis intervention, promptly addressing student emergencies and navigating referrals to appropriate resources.
• Participate in team meetings and engage collaboratively with other social workers, educators, and mental health professionals to further develop goals and strategies that promote student well-being.
• Maintain clear and confidential records, ensuring timely completion of reports and compliance with ethical guidelines and organizational policies.
• Remain informed of current best practices and advancements in social work methodologies, incorporating new learnings into your practice.

In this role, you will primarily support students within school settings, managing a diverse caseload comprising adolescents and children facing a variety of mental health challenges. Each student comes with unique backgrounds and experiences, requiring a culturally competent approach to care. Your work will directly contribute to their academic success, emotional stability, and life skills development.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Active Maryland or Virginia LCSW licensure is required, with demonstrated expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for diverse populations.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Ability to work respectfully and inclusively with individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.

A minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred, particularly in school-based settings or working with children and adolescents. Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care is advantageous.
