Vision for Mental Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing team of mental health professionals. This role is entirely remote, allowing you to provide therapy from the comfort of your home while supporting a diverse clientele. You will utilize a blend of digital tools and platforms to ensure effective communication with clients and facilitate engaging therapeutic sessions.

• Conduct virtual initial assessments to identify the specific mental health needs of clients and develop personalized treatment plans that prioritize their goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families, employing integration of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy, tailored to client needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other professionals in the mental health community to maintain a broad perspective on client care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
• Maintain thorough documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Be an active participant in ongoing clinical supervision and training sessions to enhance individual therapeutic skills and knowledge base.
• Proactively stay informed on best practices, emerging treatments, and research in marriage and family therapy to continually enhance service quality.
• Uphold ethical standards and ensure confidentiality in all client interactions, following legal requirements and clinic policies.

As a Virtual LMFT at Vision for Mental Counseling, you will work with a diverse client base, including adults, children, and families grappling with various challenges such as relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral problems. Your empathy and understanding will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes and foster healthier family dynamics.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• State licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting is necessary.
• Competence in utilizing the DSM-5 for diagnosis and treatment planning is required.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
• A flexible approach to adapting schedules and therapy techniques based on client needs.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate efficient client management and documentation.

• Experience offering marriage and family therapy in a telehealth format is preferred.
• Familiarity with culturally competent practices and working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ clients.
• Previous involvement in community mental health initiatives or outreach is a plus.
